Sets of two, three, four, or in special cases up to eight dies perform small, high frequency, simultaneous radial movements (oscillations). Every inward movement of the die-set reduces a small area of the workpiece. Rotary swaging is an incremental forming process where the oscillating forming takes place in many small processing steps.
