ROTARY SWAGING - PROCESS
Rotary swaging is a chipless metal forming process for the reduction of cross-sections of bars, tubes and wires. Sets of two, three, four, or in special cases up to eight dies perform small, high frequency, simultaneous radial movements (oscillations). Every inward movement of the die-set reduces a small area of the workpiece. Rotary swaging is an incremental forming process where the oscillating forming takes place in many small processing steps.
